(Desert Road, 2018.)
I have a severe case of art block at the moment, and I am attempting to decide which environment I will model next in Maya.

It Came From Below

(It Came From Below, 2017. Sharpie Marker on Cardstock)
This image served two purposes, the first being to improve my proficiency in using sharpies as a drawing medium.  The second purpose was to obtain extra credit in my Intermediate Drawing Course at Missouri Western State University. Surprisingly, this work was chosen for the 2017 Potter Hall Juried Art Exhibition, the first time my work has ever been placed in an art gallery. My primary source of inspiration came from Stephen King's work, It; however, people have claimed it unintentionally takes cues from John R. Dilworth's animated series, Courage the Cowardly Dog. Matter of fact, this work was actually praised by Dilworth himself shortly after the gallery opened.

Portrait of The Batman

(The Batman, Digital Illustration, 2018. Made in Clip Studio Paint Pro)
For many years, a friend of mine has always requested me to create an image of DC's Batman for him. However, at the time I did not have confidence in my abilities as an artist and kept pushing it off. Due to improvements in my skills, I decided to take on the challenge and produce the work as a birthday present to him. I decided to use the oil paint brush in Clip Studio to practice and experiment with my abilities in using value to create forms, as well as to stray away from relying on outlines.
